KCR Skips A Crucial Meeting With PM Modi

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao who has been busy with political meetings for the last few days has skipped Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s meeting with all Chief Ministers about the COVID conditions existing in the country.

Health Minister Harish Rao and GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar attended on his behalf and briefed the Prime Minister about the steps being taken by the State Government. Interestingly, KCR attended every meeting of the Prime Minister in earlier two waves.

He also used to brief media about the meeting later. But then, things have changed drastically with BJP throwing a challenge to TRS in the state. We have seen KCR taking the fight to Delhi on the issue of Paddy Procurement.

The Chief Minister, the last month, camped in Delhi for around a week trying to meet the Prime Minister but could not get an appointment. But how can a Chief Minister skip an official meeting about a crucial issue like Omicron? Many are asking.
