KCR still undecided about R-day!

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is maintaining suspense about the venue of Republic day celebrations. KCR recently changed the venue of Independence day celebrations to Golconda Fort.

The General Administration Department of Telangana has proposed three venue options for the Republic day celebrations – Golconda Fort, Parade Grounds and Gosha Mahal Stadium. Officials are anxiously waiting for the CM’s decision as choosing Golconda Fort will need clearances from Archaeological Survey of India and Defense Ministry authorities.

The officials were running till the last minute from pillar to post for the permissions in the last elections and early decision now will avoid that last minute rush. However officials say Parade Grounds is best choice to exhibit tableaus of various government schemes and also good in the security point of view.
