KCR successful in first phase elimination of TDP

Telugu Desam Party in Telangana is in all sorts of trouble post the creation of new state. TDP will now lose its voice in the Council of the new states as two of its MLCs – Arikela Narsareddy and Potla Nageswara Rao are retiring in the coming days.

TDP have seven MLCs in Telangana Council. Two are retiring and the other five have recently switched the party. They even claimed themselves as the owners of Telugu Desam Party and merged it in to TRS. Council Chairman even agreed for it officially.

So, TDP is less likely to have any representation in the Council going further. They do not have numbers to induct new MLCs in to the house. On the other side, the ruling party is trying its level best to silence TDP by suspending them in some way or other.
