KCR To Contest From A Different Constituency?

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is contemplating to change his constituency in the coming elections. KCR has been contesting from Gajwel since 2014, the first election after the bifurcation.

He is contemplating to contest from Manugodu, Nalgonda district in the next elections. KCR feels such a move will impact the party’s prospects in the entire South Telangana.

Nalgonda is the only district where Congress is still strong. Earlier there were reports that KCR would contest from Aleru constituency near Yadadri. But the Pink Party boss had a change of mind.

If KCR contest from Manugodu, it will get positive results in the erstwhile Nalgonda, Khammam, and Mahabubnagar districts, TRS believes.

Komatireddy Raja Gopal Reddy is representing Manugodu constituency right now. Komatireddy family is strong in the district but they are looking at other parties now. In case they shift to BJP, KCR going to Nalgonda will be crucial for TRS to neutralize the Saffron Party impact.
