KCR Treading a Dangerous Path for Vote Bank Politics?

TRS government in Telangana is treading towards giving 12% Reservations for Muslims and also giving Judicial Powers to Wakf Boards. This is a part of Vote Bank Appeasement of KCR and it is obvious. But then this is a dangerous precedent being set by the first government in Telangana state.

Constitution does not allow Reservations based on Religions but KCR is pushing that in the name of economic backwardness which is against the constitution. In the name of protecting Wakf Board lands, Telangana government is planning to give judicial powers to the board.

Giving judicial powers to a religious board and powers to one party involved when there is a conflict about Lands encroachment will be detrimental to the spirit of constitution. It has to be seen if the central government and Supreme Court will intervene in this issue at some point.
