KCR to trigger ‘Prestige war’ in NRIs

The Telugu Associations in the United States which were earlier divided on caste lines, are now being divided on region lines after the state bifurcation. These associations are already trying to stamp their authority there, competing with one another. And at this juncture, Telangana CM KCR is going on his first USA tour.

He is likely to tour USA for 10 days towards the end of June or early July. He will be attending AATA convention there and will also sit with several top industrialists there for possible investments. Telangana IT Minister and KCR’s son, KTR is currently in USA, getting things ready for KCR’s visit.

NRIs particularly Telangana Associations are gearing up to give him a grand welcome there. There is also a buzz of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu visiting the United States at the same time. Telangana Telugu Associations wants KCR to have a bigger hungama in USA than Naidu.
