KCR’s Abusive Language: EC Serves Notices

During the election campaign, the leaders from Telugu states have waged verbal war against each other. Already, the Election Commission of India served notices to leaders like Jagan Mohan Reddy and Chandra Babu Naidu for making derogatory comments against rival leaders.

Now, the EC served notices to the BRS chief and former Chief Minister of Telangana, K. Chandrashekar Rao, for making derogatory comments against Congress leaders.

The EC remarked that KCR made these comments in the Sircilla public meeting that happened on April 5 and added that his statements violated the model code of conduct.

KCR used words like “Lathkor”, “Chavata Dhaddhamalu”, “Chetakani Chevatalu” and “Pakka Chavatalu”. He also said that if Congress fails to five hundred bonuses, BRS leaders would bite their throats.

“A Congress leader asked to sell Nirodhs for survival. Are they son of dogs to ask to sell Nirodhs and Papads,” added KCR.

The EC opined that KCR’s comments are derogatory and may malign the image of leaders on the opposite side. It asked KCR to explain by April 18.
