KCR's complex Math!

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had come up with an intelligent and complex calculation to indirectly rule out the Runa Mafi at one go as demanded by the opposition parties. KCR said the government had so far made a waiver to the tune of 8300 Crore benefiting 36 Lakh farmers.

KCR said that it is not easy to finish the remaining two installments of the farm loan waiver at one go. But he assured the opposition parties that he would try to do that by collecting 4500 Crores of Commercial Tax Arrears. KCR also said that the government is expecting 1000 Crore from buildings regularization and another 2000 Crore from sale of government lands.

The Chief Minister also said to the house that he requested 14th Finance Commission to relax FRBM norms which will bring additional 3000 Crores as Loans. All these are complex issues and are not likely to happen as easily as said. So for now, we can assume that KCR intelligently and indirectly brushed down the Runa Mafi at one go demand.
