KCR’s Friendliness Might Actually Backfire?

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K Chandrashekar Rao recently showed up in public for the first time after losing to the Congress party in the recent Telangana elections. He came out of his farmhouse in Erravalli to greet folks from his hometown in Chintamadaka, Siddipet district.

One big reason BRS lost the election was that people felt KCR didn’t let them connect with the government. He kept himself away from them, not meeting leaders or the common public.

This disappointment was clear in the election results, especially in Kamareddy, where he lost. It showed how mad people were at a leader who was expected to be their messiah.

On the flip side, Revanth Reddy, the new Chief Minister of Telangana, quickly removed barriers at the Pragathi Bhavan, showing he’s all about giving the public complete access to the government.

Now, KCR is also trying to emulate Revanth Reddy and meet people, but it might make things worse for him. Meeting crowds after a crushing defeat in elections might make people remember how hard it was to meet him before. He has become accessible now only because he lost. This move could actually backfire on him.

Even in his oath-taking ceremony, Revanth highlighted the need for Prajala Palana, addressing KCR’s accessibility issues. The public hopes he maintains the high standards set by leaders like Chandrababu Naidu and YS Rajasekhar Reddy.
