Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao has appointed Rama Krishna Reddy as the advocate general of the new state. But analysts believe KCR just committed a grave mistake in appointing him for the coveted post. Rama Krishna Reddy is a staunch opposer of religion based reservation particularly Muslim reservation. He had been fighting this issue in courts for several years.
It may recalled that reservation to Muslims is one of the prime poll promises of Telangana Rashtra Samiti. Attorney General is the one who has to initiate all the government arguments in the courts. Government had to certainly fight in courts regarding Muslim reservation. It has to be seen how an anti-muslim reservations crusader take up the case and win it for the government!
