KCR’s Haritha Haram marred by neglect!

Telangana Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had taken up a noble program, Haritha Haram to increase the green cover in the state. The state government is spending good money and is targeting to plant 230 Crore saplings in the next year. However, the program is totally marred by poor planning and negligence.

This is not the right time of the year to plant the saplings and also poor quality seeds and saplings are procurred for this program which is killing the actual purpose of the program. The state government also overlooked the maintenance part of planted saplings as a result most of them are already dead.

For an instance, in the picture above is a sapling planted by the Telangana Chief Minister himself in Siddipet, the home constituency of Harish Rao. The sapling is already dead. That should explain the plight of the program.
