KCR’s one more thoughtless promise!

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao laid foundation stone for Palamuru – Rangareddy Lift irrigation Project a short while ago. The project after its completion will bring water for 10 Lakh acres and will also get 20 TMCs for Hyderabad.

This project alone will cost 35000 Crore according to estimations now. But Telangana CM had announced that his government will be completing the project in just 3 years which is near to impossible. But KCR is as always unstoppable in giving such thoughtless promises.

On this other side, this project is likely to become controversial as it is being started with out permission saying that they only lift Flood water with this project. But experts say Srisailam will not have that much flood water except in exceptional cases. So, the project is intended to divert more water to Telangana than legally allowed.
