KCR’s rival to be TDP’s candidate in Kukatpally!

Reports emerging from NTR Bhavan suggest that the party may field Vanteru Pratap Reddy for the Kukatpally Bielection. TDP MLA here, Madhavaram Krishna Rao defected to TRS just before the MLC elections. A Bielection is imminent here if Speaker approves the disqualification petition against him.

Vanteru Pratap Reddy is a huge confidante of TDP Supremo Chandrababu Naidu. He contested against Telangana CM KCR in Gajwel on Chandrababu’s insistence and gave a good fight. Pratap Reddy has good name in Gajwel. He should have easily won there if not for a very strong candidate like KCR.

Except for the non-local issue, things should be very easy for Pratap Reddy as Kukatpally is a forte for TDP due to the presence of huge settler population. If at all bielections come in all the defected MLAs constituencies, Kukatpally is the most toughest seat for the ruling party.
