KCR’s silence helped TRS?

The suicide of HCU student Rohit Vemula hit entire nation with protests. Some political parties like Congress and AAP staged protests in front of university.

But the Telangana CM KCR has maintained strategic silence on this issue and he only expressed his grief and said that this incident would not have happened. This stance helped TRS to win the votes of OBC community which contributes around 24 percent in the GHMC votes share.

According to exit polls results, TRS bagged 40 percent of OBC votes which helped the pink party to sail to safe numbers in the elections.
