KCR’s Vatican dreams crushed very early!

The big announcement of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar to develop Yadagirigutta Temple on the lines of vatican City met with a very early road block. Upon KCR’s orders, Temple officials came up with a development plan which require the land of 2000 acres. The plan called Yadagiri Divyakshetram Development Plan will have 400 acres of proposed Narasimha Abhayaranyam and the rest for spiritual centres, parks and a kalyanamandapam.

Government has about 380 acres of land and the remaining has to be acquired from the villages around the temple. At least 1500 farmers will have to give up their lands for the temple development. Government has offered them the market rate but the farmers blatantly refused the offer claiming that they have invested huge money to level the hillocks.

As the objections increase, the compensation that has to be paid for the villagers is also increasing which will again mount on to the already very costly Yadagiri Divyakshetram Development Project. Telangana state already being encountered with various problems definitely can not afford such huge amount of money now. Also the land acquisition will also invoke trouble from the locals to the government. We will have to see if KCR puts this project on hold for a while as widely speculated.
