Keeravani Controversy Exposes BRS Hypocrisy

As Telangana prepares to celebrate 10 years of statehood, the Revanth Reddy government is planning grand celebrations and intends to release an official state song, “Jaya Jaya He Telangana.”

The Congress government has chosen Tollywood’s popular music director, Keeravani, whose song “Naatu Naatu” from the movie RRR won an Oscar, to compose the anthem.

However, the previous government, led by the BRS party, objects to Keeravani’s involvement due to his family’s roots in Andhra.

BRS supporters are opposing Keeravani’s work on the Telangana anthem. Despite the party’s recent rebranding from Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) to Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) to reflect their national ambitions, their mindset is still the same.

People on social media are calling out this hypocrisy, questioning why a party claiming to represent all of India is opposing an Indian composer based on regional affiliations.

People are slamming BRS for their divisive politics, urging them to either revert to their original name, TRS, or change their attitude.
