Kejriwal admits resignation as a mistake!

Aam Admi Party President Arvind Kejriwal admitted that his resignation for Delhi Chief Minister post is a mistake. He also opined that people mistook AAP’s actions and he should have taken more time to explain the people the rationale behind his resignation. “There was a communication gap between AAP and the people. BJP and Congress nicely used it and projected the resignation as running away from responsibility”, said Kejriwal.

Kejriwal’s Aam Admi Party formed the government in Delhi with the outside support of Congress. After 49 days of ruling, Kejriwal resigned hours after his government could not pass the Jan lokpal bill in the Delhi assembly as 42 MLAs — 32 of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), eight of the Congress and one of the Janata Dal (United) and an Independent — opposed it in the 70-member assembly. Analysts say the abrupt resignation of Kejriwal downsized people’s support to the party at least 60% by the time of general elections.
