But Kerala Government is not happy. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan clarified that he will meet the Prime Minister and ask him to reconsider the government decision. In case, the center sticks to its stand, the state government demands GoI to match the foreign-aids.

UAE has offered 700 Crore which is higher than what GoI has given for Kerala so far (600 Crore). Qatar has offered another 35 Crore and the Maldives announced 35 Lakhs to help Kerala get to its feet after being battered by Never Before Floods.
