Kishan Reddy On A Sticky Wicket In Secunderabad?

Union Minister Kishan Reddy is contesting for Secunderabad Parliament once again. Secunderabad Lok Sabha segment went the BJP way in the last two elections. But this time, the draw is going to be tough for Kishan Reddy who is also the Telangana BJP President.

Congress brought Danam Nagender from BRS to be its candidate here. BRS is planning to field its Senior leader Talasani Srinivas Yadav from here.

Danam and Talasani are strong BC leaders. They are going to pose a strong challenge to Kishan Reddy this time.

The seven constituencies under the Secunderabad Lok Sabha segment have registered disappointing results for the BJP.

BRS won six segments while MIM won Nampally. Even Kishan Reddy’s own constituency, Amberpet went the BRS way.

Danam represents the Khairatabad Assembly segment while Talasani is the MLA from Sanathnagar.

BRS votes are going Congress’s way this time and also, the Muslim voters are likely to support the ruling party big time.

Also, there is a significant Christian voting in Secunderabad and that will also go to Congress this time.

There is a talk that Kishan Reddy took the constituency for granted and ignored it after going to Delhi. If true that can prove very costly.

It will be very difficult for Kishan Reddy. But then, if he loses, it will be a big shame for the party since he is a central minister and also the state BJP president.
