Kodela struggling as Speaker

Senior Politician Kodela Siva Prasad Rao who excelled in several roles for the state and TDP seem to be not fitting in the position as Speaker of Andhra Pradesh Assembly. The ugly scenes that embroiled Andhra Pradesh in the past couple of days had brought blemish on the prestige of the state assembly.

Be it Roja’s vulgar acts, Kodali Nani’s blackmailing or Bonda Uma’s Loose Tongue, Kodela would have controlled them very easily if he exercised his authority in the right way at the right time. But he chose to stay calm till the last minute and the Assembly proceedings have shown the state in poor light across the country.

When appointed as speaker many thought Kodela will command respect even from opposition benches given his seniority and fire brand attitude but the video footage released on Wednesday gave that feeling the Speaker have left out too many things with out proper control. Even the suspension of 8 MLAs from the house could not get the things in control as they called Speaker as Joker and Factionist. We will have to see how he handles the house going further.
