‘TIMS Will Be on Par With Corporate Hospitals’

Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy announced the completion timelines for the Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (TIMS) during a press briefing on Monday. A day earlier, BRS leader Harish Rao accused the Telangana government of neglecting TIMS projects started by KCR.

Komatireddy responded sharply, sharing clear completion dates. TIMS Sanathnagar will be ready by October 31, 2025. TIMS Alwal will be finished by March 2026, and TIMS LB Nagar by June 2026. TIMS Warangal will be completed by December 2025. NIMS is expected to be ready by December 2026.

He said the government is focused on completing hospitals that were left half-done after foundation ceremonies. “I review progress regularly with the R&D department to ensure timelines are met,” Komatireddy stated. He added that TIMS facilities will have equipment comparable to corporate hospitals such as Apollo, Kamineni, and AIG.

Komatireddy accused the previous government of leaving unpaid dues of ₹40,000 crore to contractors and ₹8,000 crore to retired employees. “We are clearing everything. Work continues day and night in Sanathnagar and Alwal. Harish Rao should visit the sites before commenting during his Jubilee Hills campaign,” he said.

He also clarified that the Uppal–Narapalli flyover will be completed by Dassera 2026, with support from Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.
