A shocking video has stirred political tensions in Nellore. On Friday, a clip surfaced showing a group of rowdysheeters allegedly plotting the murder of Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy.
In the video, five individuals can be seen discussing how Kotamreddy’s murder could bring in a lot of money. Two of the men have been identified as rowdysheeter Srikanth and his associate Jagdeesh.
According to the Kotamreddy camp, the plot was coordinated through lady don Nidigunta Aruna. They believe quick action helped avert a major tragedy.
Adding to the controversy, YSRCP recently ran a negative social media campaign against Kotamreddy. Now, strong rumours are circulating that a senior YSRCP leader allegedly offered Aruna a party ticket either from Gudur or Sullurpeta in exchange for the assassination.
Meanwhile, TDP workers claim that the accused attempted to bribe them for help in executing the plan. Kotamreddy, deeply disturbed by the incident, stated that his life was more valuable than any ministerial post.
He has also briefed the TDP high command about the murder plot. On the law and order front, Nellore SP has said that if a formal complaint is filed by Kotamreddy, the police will take appropriate action.
