KTR About BJP Wave Threat to AP and TS

Telangana IT Minister, K Taraka Ramarao refused to accept that BJP wave can not enter the South India due to the presence of strong regional parties in Southern states like Telangana or AP. “BJP has no chance in South India except Karnataka as regional parties are strong in Telangana, AP, Tamil Nadu and Kerala,” KTR said.

“BJP was able to grow strong in Karnataka only because the regional party, JD (S) has weakened. The people of this region are different in many aspects and there are strong regional parties in power. Once people experience benefits of regional parties, they do not go for national parties,” KTR said.

When asked about the argument that the Saffron Party participated in the Telangana agitation and, therefore, claims to be pro-Telangana and an alternative to the TRS, KTR said: “Everyone was part of the Telangana agitation, show me who was not?”
