BRS working president KTR was on a speakeasy mode in the Assembly today. He thoroughly roasted both the Congress party as a whole and of course CM Revanth Reddy.
KTR wondered why and how Revanth Reddy forgets KCR’s contribution for Telangana. KTR said KCR was the one who built the Secretariat they were sitting in and had played a vital role in getting Telangana. Instead, the CM constantly mentions YSR and Chandrababu, he said.
KTR did not stop there. Being a seasoned orator who speaks with ease in three languages, he used rhyming words and Telangana slang to tease the Congress government for their shortcomings.
KTR called the ruling government Danakarna prior to the elections by promising loads of welfare schemes who turned out to be Kumbhakarna by forgetting all of them after elections and sleeping on the promises.
Though the Congress promised abhayahastam, it turned out to be Bhasmasura hastam, KTR said about how the CM simply turned a blind eye to all the welfare schemes leaving Telangana citizens in a lurch.
KTR also took a dig saying if a 420 world cup is held, then the Congress will win it hands down. The Congress policy was – eggottu, kulagottu, chedagottu. KTR’s satire did not end there. He further said that notifications were nil in the state but lutifications were full.
He quoted the words of George Orwell who said that in times of betrayal, speaking the truth was the biggest revolution.
In all, Tuesday turned out to be KTR’s day in the Assembly as he displayed his sarcastic side in the House.
