BRS working president KTR made a rather interesting statement on Friday. Like a film hero who makes an entry towards the end, KCR will make a re-entry in the second half, KTR assured his cadre and leaders.
In the past two years, the Congress showed what it can and what it cannot do. Now is the time for hero’s entry. From now on the story will be a happy one, KTR promised.
At a time when people of Telangana are worried about Revanth Reddy‘s governance, the words come as relief. Hyderabad has pollution problems, there are last-mile connectivity issues, lack of planning for infrastructure development and the city is wearing a weary look. Then there is the ruling party wanting to install world’s largest Gandhi statue by usurping lands of the poor. Though it was thought that Kancha Gachibowli issue would have taught Revanth sarkar a lesson, the ruling party is once again into land acquisitions and felling trees at the cost of inhabitants.
Of course, the ordinary people at the receiving end need a ‘hero’. But will KCR give them golden Telangana? Will his health permit him to run the state? More importantly, Revanth has a clear mandate for the next three years.
By then, the realty sharks might take over Hyderabad and turn the situation into an irreversible mess. KTR is a good orator. He loves his films as was seen during BRS rule. But his ‘hero entering the scene in the second half and Hyderabad having a happy ending’ seems far-fetched at least for now.
On an optimistic note, Hyderabad needs a dynamic leader. Is it KCR or a Congress replacement of Revanth Reddy?
