KTR – Jagan Meeting: Questions on AP People’s Reception?

TRS working president K Tarak Ramarao will be meeting Andhra Pradesh opposition leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at his Lotus Pond residence this afternoon and will be inviting him to join the federal front floated by his father Telangana CM KCR. This came as a surprise to everyone because this is like open a declaring that TRS is supporting the Jagan’s party in the upcoming Andhra Pradesh election.

KCR already promised a return gift for Chandrababu Naidu after Telangana elections. This seems to be the crucial step in that direction but then it has to be seen how Andhra people will digest this. TDP opines that people will see through this alliance and take it as an attack on Andhra Pradesh as they feel that KCR wants a Dummy CM in Andhra Pradesh and people of AP will not let them happen.

But then we have seen that some Telangana leaders including KCR getting a rousing welcome whenever they come to AP especially from the people belonging to their caste. The other day we have seen TRS MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav sitting along with Yadav leaders in Bhimavaram and making crass comments on CM Naidu.

The plan is to divide the people of Andhra Pradesh on caste lines against the ruling Telugu Desam Party and benefit the position YSR Congress party. It has to be seen how the neutral people respond to this strategy if it backfires, this can emerge as the biggest self goal of Jagan Mohan Reddy in the run up to the Assembly Elections.
