The stage is being prepared for the coming MP election campaign in Telangana. After a failed run in the assembly elections, BRS is heavily invested in the MP elections to hold its ground in Telangana politics.
Incidentally, the latest updates are suggesting that there is a very good chance that KTR himself might be contesting in the coming elections.
Apparently, Secunderabad and Malkajgiri are being seen as the two constituencies that could be a safe bet for KTR.
In the 2023 assembly election, BRS won 6 out of the 7 segments that fall under Secunderabad MP constituency. So, this is being seen as one of the favorable constituencies for KTR in the coming election.
Malkajgiri is one of the crucial and talked-about constituencies in Telangana and it was won by Revanth Reddy in 2018. He eventually led Congress to a winning campaign in 2023. If KTR too contests from Malkajgiri, it could rejuvenate the BRS cadre.
The idea here is for KTR to lead the charge from the front in the coming MP elections. But at the same time, KTR is already the MLA from Siricilla and if he wins in the MP polls, that is if he contests, he will have to pick either MLA or MP seat and leave the other. It has to be seen what KTR and KCR will decide on this front.
