KVP Now to Torment BJP with Polavaram

Congress MP KVP Ramachandra Rao almost embarrassed the ruling BJP with his Private Member Bill on Special Status. Even though the bill did not serve its actual purpose, it at least initiated discussion in the Parliament. And now KVP is all set to torment BJP with his Private Member Motion on Polavaram.

Since Jaitley will oppose the discuss terming it as a Money Bill, KVP is taking up the issue as Private Member Motion. It will come up for discussion tomorrow in Rajya Sabha. KVP is urging the center to pass the motion stating that Polavaram Project will be completed by 2018 and will be dedicated to the nation.

Congress is gearing up to pin BJP on this issue as the party only made meager allocations to the crucial project until now, even though it is a National Project, according to the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act. The center already announced that it will execute the project using NABARD funding and State government had to pay the rest of 10%
