L&T Not Interested In Hyderabad Metro Further?

L&T, the concessionaire of Hyderabad Metro Rail’s first phase is not interested to take up the second phase of the project in which the Metro Rail will be linked to Shamshabad Airport. The concessionaire faced several problems with the government during the first phase execution.

And now, there are even doubts over the feasibility of the project and so, L&T is not keen on taking part of the project. If L&T is not interested, the government will look to others to develop the link, probably through open tenders.

A feasibility study of the airport Metro link of 30.3 km, connecting Raidurg Metro station in Hyderabad to the airport at Shamshabad, had been concluded. The report is before the Chief Minister who will take a final decision very soon.
