Land Pooling begins in Capital Region!

Land Pooling for the state capital began a short while ago in the villages. 27 teams were deployed to gather agreement letters from the farmers. Each team headed by a deputy collector is allotted for a unit of 1000 to 1400 acres. Two Tahsildars, two deputy Tahsildars and Surveyors will be part of each team. The teams were instructed to take as many agreement letters as possible by January 15th.

CRDA is planning to establish Land Pooling Unit offices in the villages.All these teams were trained about CRDA and the land pooling mechanism. They will be explaining this to farmers before taking the agreement letters. Every team will be reporting to CRDA Special Commissioner N.Srikanth directly at the end of every day. The Chief Minister is yet to take a decision if or not to reveal the land details.

51786 acres of land is available in the first phase land pooling villages and the government is targeting to pool in 38000 acres. Three different packages were announced for the land losing farmers in the capital area depending on the number of crops grown in those lands.
