Land Pooling deadline complete!

The deadline for the Land Pooling in the upcoming capital of Andhra Pradesh is complete on Saturday. Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) has managed to pool in 21,627 acres so far which is 57.48% of the targeted 37626 acres. The government is likely to extend the time for the pooling. The new notification was expected to come up on Saturday but it did not happen.

The deadline is likely to be extended for another 15 days on Monday. The remaining pooling will pose significant challenge for the government since they are going to deal with the reluctant river side farmers who are not at all interested in giving up their lands.

Government may increase the compensation package slightly or go for land acquisition in left over lands. There are also rumours that government may leave out some villages and announce them as Green Belt in which lands can only be used for agriculture purpose till some year.
