Land Regularization disappoints KCR!

Telangana government is hoping to make good money from regularizing illegally occupied government lands. However the hopes may be beaten badly as majority of the applications received so far are for the regularization of illegal house plots (government land encroached by individuals) measuring below 125 sq yards. Government will get no income from these lands as the regularization will be done at free of cost.

Real Estate experts say the Regularization Amounts fixed by the government is not at all feasible for the encroachers to come forward. For example, Serilingampally mandal which is considered a prime real estate location where hundreds of acres have been encroached, only six applications have been received for regularization of house plots which attract penal fee.

Similar situations prevail in all the areas of Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy district. While the government expects a minimum of 1000 Crore from this regularization. Experts say even half of it may not be possible as of now.
