Last Minute Addition to Telangana’s New Districts

Telangana government so far has claimed that it has done extensive scientific research before deciding upon the Seventeen New Districts of the state and clarified that it can not accommodate the demands of the Opposition. But all of sudden, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao seem to have a change of mind. We are told that the CM is thinking on the lines of creating three more districts.

Gadwal, Siricilla, and Janagama are the new districts which will take the total number of districts to 30. Gadwal district is the demand of former Minister DK Aruna who also resigned with the district demand. KCR’s son, KTR is facing a political issue in Siricilla and the new district is being carved for him.

There is a strong demand for Janagama district as well. There is no official announcement about this by the government but the Chief Minister hinted about it in a meeting with the TRS leaders the other day. We will have to see if this last minute addition will impact the new districts inauguration for Dussehra.
