It’s My Moral Victory: Maganti Sunitha

Jubilee Hills BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha said that her result was a moral victory, even though she lost to her Congress rival Naveen Yadav by a margin of 25,000 votes.

Sunitha stated that all Cabinet Ministers, along with the Chief Minister, worked together to ensure her defeat. She alleged that the Congress threatened voters in several areas of Shaikpet and Yousufguda and influenced the polling process.

She expressed her anger and said the result was not Naveen Yadav’s victory but a win achieved through rigging and rowdy politics.

During opinion polls, many predicted that the seat would go to Maganti Sunitha. However, the BRS was unable to convince voters by highlighting past work or future plans. The party focused only on sympathy votes. KCR also stayed away from canvassing and did not visit even once.

There was also internal Maganti family drama, where Maganti’s wife claimed legacy. This may have weakened Sunitha’s prospects, as many people may have stopped feeling sympathy for her.

Jubilee Hills turned into a major test for both the BRS and the ruling Congress. In the end, the BRS faced a significant setback.
