Maha govt impressed with CBN’s Sand policy

Chandrababu Naidu’s government has got great reforms in Sand mining across the state. The Sand ramps are handed over to the Women Self Help Groups who will be taking care of the mining and sale of sand. To avoid Sand mafia, the interested parties need to pay money online and the sand will be delivered directly to the purchasers. All the sand lorries are set up with GPS systems to prevent misuse.

This new Sand mining policy helped Andhra Pradesh to increase the revenue from the sector and also managed to curb illegal sand mafia. Now Andhra Pradesh’s reforms in the sand mining have impressed Maharashtra government too.

The Chief Minister of the state was very impressed with the policy and the state government had sent an IAS officer to Andhra Pradesh to study the new policy to implement the same policy in Maharashtra for sand mining.
