Maharashtra Govt Became Wary of KCR’s Threat

Telugu film industry biggies had a series of meeting with Telangana Government about the restarting the operations of Tollywood. KCR Government is also contemplating to permit the shootings. But even before the Telangana Government, Maharashtra Government permitted shootings.

There are reports that a few Bollywood filmmakers are keen on shifting their shootings to Hyderabad and Ramoji film city in particular for the time being. We also heard the news that the Telangana Government is keen to woo the Hindi filmmakers permanently to the state by showing the best facilities to them.

Rumor mills were rife that KCR asked Tollywood biggies to plan a huge studio and the Government would provide the lands and necessary facilities. Uddhav Thackeray Government in Maharashtra sensed trouble and immediately allowed the shootings in the state.

Maharashtra has the majority of Corona cases in the country. It has around 35% of the total cases of the country. So, Telangana would still have the advantage over Maharashtra if KCR is in for the duel.
