MH rejects water for Pushkaralu in Telangana!

Telangana government’s hopes on water from Maharashtra for Godavari Pushkaralu were shattered after Maharashtra government refused to release water. Due to the lack of proper rains, all the Pushkar ghats in Telangana wore a dried look and they hoped on above state to release 6000 Cusecs of water to ensure devotees take the holy dip. They even got Maharashtra governor Vidya Sagar Rao and Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu recommend to Chief Minister Devender Fadnavis.

But the CM confirmed that they can not help as their reservoirs are also not having water. He promised to release water in case if its rains before the conclusion of the 12 days pushkaralu. Officials have arranged showers at all Pushkar Ghats for pilgrims to take bath.

AP CM Chandrababu started Pushkaralu with Akhanda Harathi in Rajahmundry while Telangana CM KCR along with his family gave Akhanda Harathi to Godavari Maatha in Dharmapuri. Both the governments have taken this event prestigious but arrangements in Telangana were marred by water problem.
