Major Gas Leak in Vizag, People Terrified

In what can be termed as a major tragedy in a Crisis, a Chemical Gas Leak has rocked Vishakapatnam. A Chemical company, LG Polymers was preparing to open from today after the Lockdown. A Chemical Gas Leak happened around 3 AM. People in the radius of five Kilometres are complaining about nauseating and getting unconscious.

People who are healthy are running for lives. So far, three people are believed to be dead and 200 people were hospitalised. Police are breaking the doors of the houses to rescue the people. Reports are that the casualties could be much higher. 100s of cattle are seen dying dying on spot.

The aged and children are the worst affected. NDRF and SDRF forces are pressed for evacuation. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy took stock of the situation and spoke to the district collectors and other administration over the relief measures.

This certainly looks scary and chose a worst time like Coronavirus Crisis to come. Let us keep Vishakapatnam and it’s people in our prayers.
