It has been just over a week since West Bengal delivered one of the most sensational verdicts as they elected the BJP to power for the first time in the history.
The public mandate was so very strong that former chief minister Mamata Banerjee did not just lose her office, but she also ended up losing as an MLA as well.
However, considering the dynamic personality of Mamata Banerjee, she isn’t going to be the one to sit at her home and rue the public verdict that was delivered against her.
In accordance, Mamata Banerjee appeared at the Supreme Court today as she turned up as a lawyer to argue a case. A petition was filed regarding the post poll violence in West Bengal as Mamata Banerjee and her TMC members are given that the new BJP government is attacking them.
Incidentally, Mamata Banerjee, who is a lawyer by profession before becoming active in politics, and eventually becoming the chief minister, argued this case on her own in the Supreme Court today.

She argued at the Supreme Court that the police system in West Bengal has been influenced by the BJP as they are not filing any FIRs against the complaints raised by the TMC cadres. This is becoming a full scale problem in itself.
