Man kills wife after she refuses to cook Fish

Tragedy struck Bettadalli village of Arkalgudu taluk in Hassan, Karnataka, after Ganesh (31) killed his wife, Shobha (26) after she refused to cook fish. The family are Vegetarians for a long time. But Ganesh recently got addicted to alcohol and stated consuming non-vegetarian food.

But on last Saturday, Ganesh brought fish and asked his wife to cook. She refused saying that she did not know how to prepare the dish. She further added that she would never allow fish to be cooked at home. Ganesh beat her up severely with a stick. Grieviously injured Shobha was admitted to hospital.

However she gave up and breathed her last on Sunday night. Local Police have booked a case on Ganesh and started investigation. The neighbours said the deceased Shobha was married to Ganesh for the last nine years. They said things got worse only after Ganesh became an addict to alcohol.
