Manda Krishna’s shock to Telugu Desam Party!

Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti (MRPS) Founder Manda Krishna Madiga delivered a shock to Telugu Desam Party by floating a new political party for Madigas- Mahajana Socialist Party. Madigas and Malas form major percentage of SC population in AP. And they are dominant vote bank during elections.Traditionally, Madigas supported Telugu Desam Party while Malas were a solid vote bank to Congress Party. Telugu Desam Party pinned high hopes on their votes in coming elections and even extended its support for SC Vargeekarana (Division of SC quota to sub quotas) which will benefit Madigas.

MRPS is also the reason for success of Chandra Babu Naidu’s Padayatra in Telangana region. Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti supporters guarded Babu all along Telangana. At one point, political analysts believed that Manda Krishna Madiga to contest from TDP. But now Mahajana Socialist Party would mean that Madigas will have their own choice to vote and this will hamper Telugu Desam’s poll fortunes.
