‘Mandhu Babulu’ Alert on Rumors of Hyderabad Lockdown

A few days ago, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao in an interview mentioned that the cabinet will discuss if another Lockdown will be necessary for the GHMC limits. The cabinet meeting did not happen and there were rumors that the proposal is dropped.

But then, Tipplers seem to have got alert at the very mention of the Lockdown. The Liquor sales across the Hyderabad have increased by many folds. “In the next two days after the CM’s announcement, Liquor sales soared up to 350 Crore and on average, 100 Crore liquor is getting sold on a daily basis,” sources said.

People have also resorted to panic buying in all the supermarkets of the city and many people were seen trying to go to their native places in Andhra Pradesh. “The rush of cars in Andhra Pradesh – Telangana borders is almost on par to the Sankranthi festival days,” sources say.

On the other hand, Corona Crisis in Telangana is worsening. There were 1850 cases registered yesterday alone. With that, the total number of cases in the state has reached 22,312. The epidemic has so far claimed 288 lives. There has been large-scale criticism that the government is not responding properly when the Pandemic is rampant.
