Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had submitted his resignation to President of India, Pranab Mukherjee a short while ago. He addressed the nation for one last time and reiterated that he tried his best to serve the country. Along with his resignation letter, he also recommended President to dissolve his cabinet.It is known that Man Mohan Singh who served the nation for two consecutive terms had announced his retirement.
Earlier in the day, Central Cabinet had its last meeting. The cabinet had decided to dissolve the 15th Lok Sabha. It is known that UPA faced bitter defeat in the recently concluded Parliament elections. Many of the cabinet ministers lost badly in the election.
