Maoists announce their presence in Telangana!

One of the major concerns before the state division was the increase of Maoist activities in Telangana. We do not have such incidents so far which are worriesome but the Maoists seem to have announced their presence in the new state. Maoists on Saturday have sent in a press note to all media houses calling for a bandh in Telangana on November 8th of this month.

They have called for the bandh against the government’s deaf ear to increasing farmers’ suicides in the state.In their letter, Maoists mentioned about how KCR called Naxallites as true patriots and implementing their agenda once TRS comes to power. But they alleged that KCR and his party is depressing farmers by saying the ongoing power crisis in the state can not be corrected for the next 3 year.

They also called the government to take responsibility for the suicides numbering more than 265 so far in the past few months. The success or failure of the bandh planned will be an indication of Maoists’ strength in the newest state of the country.
