Hyderabad Real Estate has been dominated by Velamas ever since the state’s formation. KCR Government encouraged the My Home Group during this tenure and the latter flourished big time as a result. Since KCR and Rameshwara Rao belong to the Velama community, it is like Velama dominance in Hyderabad Real Estate.
In the next two places – Rajapushpa and Raghava (owned by family members of Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy) belong to the Reddy community. Rumors are that a marriage is going to happen between these two families bringing their empires together.
The owner of Rajapushpa is a BRS MLC, and the owner of Raghava is a Congress minister.
This marriage is said to have shifted the dominance in Hyderabad’s Real Estate from the Velamas to the Reddys.
Often, they say the community in power is associated with the community that is dominant in the city’s Real Estate as the former is expected to encourage their own people. Reddys have returned to power in Telangana for the first time after the state formation.
So, there are indications all over that there is a fertile ground for Reddy domination in the Hyderabad Real Estate.
Moreover, this new relationship between the Richy Rich BRS and Congress MLAs may even give rise to new political developments in the state.
