Marwadis Vs Locals: New Political Game In Telangana

Marwadis vs Locals has now turned into a heated political issue in Telangana. What began as a small clash on the road is being projected as a new social movement. In many parts of Telangana, the “Go Back Marwadi” slogan is spreading fast.

The entire issue reportedly began in Borabanda. A Marwadi stopped his car in the middle of the street, and a local SC man on a bike honked asking him to move. Instead of clearing the way, the Marwadi got down, became aggressive, and attacked the biker.

Ideally this should have been seen as a normal road rage case. But in Telangana, it has taken a regional and political colour. People have started demanding that Marwadis should leave the state. This sentiment has been pushed into public discussions.

Narratives are now being spread that Marwadis follow unfair practices, sell fake products, avoid paying GST, and take away the share of local businesses. These accusations are adding fuel to the tension between Marwadis and locals across Telangana.

Political parties are also getting involved. There are reports that BRS is indirectly supporting the movement, while BJP is backing Marwadis saying they are Gujaratis, connected to BJP, devoted to Sanatana Dharma, and hardworking business people.

To make matters worse, a singer composed a song on Marwadi domination and it went viral on social media. Police arrested the singer, but that only added to the controversy and increased public anger in several areas of the state.

Clashes between Marwadis and locals have been reported in some places. The Revanth Reddy government is struggling to control the situation. A simple road rage case is now evolving into a law and order issue that is spreading widely.

Meanwhile, BJP leader and Central Minister Bandi Sanjay stepped in. He stated that the issue is nothing but an attack on Hindu dharma and BJP. He warned that if there are Marwadi go back calls, they would raise Rohingya go back movements.

The entire incident is exposing how political parties use common people as pawns. What started as an ordinary street fight has turned into a social and political drama. It shows how sensitive issues are often used for political advantage.
