Mass Suspension of YSR Congress MLAs?

YSR Congress Nagari MLA, Roja is completing her one-year suspension term but it looks like the Opposition Party may be losing more of its MLAs. The Assembly Privileges Committee will be sitting for its first meeting tomorrow on the ruckus created by the YSR Congress MLAs in the Assembly session earlier this month.

Some of the YSRCP MLA tore the constitution books and threw the papers on the Speaker. Some of them even snatched the Speakers mike while standing on the tables of Assembly Employees. A few MLAs even attacked the marshalls who prevented them going to the Speaker. Assembly Secretary Satyanarayana complained to the Speaker that some of them put a wire around his neck and dragged.

All these complaints are placed before the Privilege Committee and the Speaker asked them to take a decision on 45 days. The committee will be identifying the miscreant MLAs from the video footage and will level charges against them. The MLAs will be asked for an explanation for their poor behaviour and later action will be suggested to the house. Going by what we have seen on Televisions, YSR Congress may be losing a good number of MLAs this time. Some of these MLAs have already faced disciplinary allegations and also apologized to the house, which will put them in more trouble.
