Mega Bielections Mela in Telangana. Will KCR dare?

Ibrahmipatnam TDP MLA Manchireddy Kishan Reddy joined Telangana Rashtra Samiti a short while ago in TRS Plenary. With this new joining, TRS’ count in Telangana Assembly reached 75. TRS have 12 defections from other parties after the elections – four TDP, four Congress, two YSRCP and two from BSP. Except for BSP MLAs, disqualification petitions are pending on all the other 10 MLAs.

None of these MLAs have resigned to their posts and are unethically continuing their romance with TRS. Using the old technique of Late YSR, KCR is sitting on the disqualification petitions with the help of the Speaker. However it is certain that a decision had to be taken at some or other. The danger lurking for KCR is that majority of these MLAs are from settler strong GHMC areas.

The bielection for these seats when happened will pose a big challenge for the KCR government. The result of those seats will pave way for the mood of 2019 elections. However KCR is well aware that it is difficult to win all these seats and will try his best to delay the election as much as possible.
