Metro Rail from Vijayawada to Tullur!

It is know confirmed that Andhra Pradesh’s upcoming capital will be more in the Guntur district than in Vijayawada. However the government is planning to reduce the commuting distance between Tullur and Vijayawada and use both the places like Twin Cities. Accordingly, the Chief Minister plans a Metro Rail Project between Tullur and Vijayawada. This is likely to be implemented in the second stage of metro projects planned in AP.

Government is already planning two corridors from Pandit Nehru bus stand in the first phase. Officials are planning to link the capital from here. As a part of it. a bridge will be constructed from bus stand till Tadeplly over Krishna river. From there around Seetanagaram hill, metro rail way will be constructed which will be extended to Tullur region.

While all these are just mere proposals, more clarity regarding this will only emerge after the Singapore Experts team submit the Master Plan of the upcoming state capital in the next year.
