Midnight Voters: Anti-Jagan Or Pro-Jagan?

Andhra Pradesh’s Final Voter Turnout is yet to be revealed. AP CEO Mukesh Kumar Meena says they estimate it to be around 81%.

Meena says the Voter Turnout in 2019 is 79.8% and that means it is going to be more than 2% that of the 2019 Voter Turnout.

AARA Mastan says if the Voter Turnout is even 1% more than that of 2019, it is not going to be good news for YSR Congress.

Meanwhile, the polling in 3,500 Polling Stations went even after 6 PM. In some of the stations, the polling lasted until 2 AM the next morning.

At 5 PM, the Voter Turnout was 67.99%, and that went up to 81% at the close.

On average, 8% of voting happened every hour on the Polling day. That means at 6 PM, the voter turnout is 76%.

That means 5% voting happened from 6 PM to 2 AM the next day. Political Parties are having their own estimations about why these voters are so determined to vote.

YSR Congress says those are mostly Rural voters and Beneficiaries of welfare schemes and so, they will benefit.

Usually, in political terms, people are determined only to defeat a political party. That is a usual Human Tendency as well.

That is the reason why we say higher voter turnout means anti-incumbency.

People will not stand in queues for hours to make someone win but they will stand to defeat someone.

In 2019, TDP has similar estimations about the last night voting as YSR Congress now. It turned out that the late-night voters were anti-incumbent voters. They were there to defeat Chandrababu.

We will have to wait for June 4th to understand this!
